WHO WE ARE
Museo delle storie di Bergamo is managed by Fondazione Bergamo nella storia, founded in 2002 with the aim of protecting, enhancing and communicating in new ways the historical heritage and identity of the area of Bergamo.
The Foundation’s main project is Museo delle storie di Bergamo, a historical museum branched over several sites, that tells the evolution of the city and of the territory over the centuries from a political, economic, social and cultural point of view.
There are six places linked to the network of Museo delle storie:
Convento di San Francesco, the Foundation’s headquarters, with a large expository space for temporary exhibitions;
Palazzo del Podestà, with the Museum of the 16th Century;
Campanone in Piazza Vecchia;
Rocca, which houses the Museum of the 19th Century;
Museum of Donizetti;
Torre dei Caduti in the city centre designed by Piacentini.
